I might be wrong, but I think when AMD gets to .13 they'll be able to crush the tualatin. That will be a moot point though, because they'll need to match a .13 p4, and I don't know whether they'll be able to do that or not. Even if the athlon matches performance, AMD has to wonder if the consumers will figure it out. Clearly the athlon and tualatin are better clock per clock performers then the p4, but there's no indication to me that consumers will ever pick up on that fact.

The other big point in my mind is AMD needs .13 capacity ASAP. If they don't get up until 1 year from now then they could be in a similar situation to 99, where the financials are in the toliet again. If they don't get .13 soon, you can kiss profitable/breakeven quarters behind. They'll be bleeding big time.
