lorne, check youtube.com for evidence of Democrats strident protection of Fannie/Freddie corruption over many years. Fannie Mae CEO Raines cooked the books and was forced to return many millions he had stolen from taxpayers--Maxine Waters, Barney Frank and many other Democrats insisted the two instiutions responsible for the financial collapse were strong and well managed. The Democrats convict themselves with their actual recorded words--it's all available on youtube.
