I have followed TRKN for a while. The stock is hot in the world of stockloan. Everyone wanted to borrow the sucker when it crept up to 11/12 range. If TRKN technology is state of the art, then it begs to reason that this technology will not die if TRKN does. This only means that there is a very good chance that some one will scoop up the company to gain the technology. The only problem is, at what price is a pursuer willing to pay. If Trkn is in deep doodoo financially, the pursuer may be able to get the company at a very cheap price in exchange for taking on TRKN's debt. That would mean stockholders may not profit from the buyout. Case in point, Netframe Systems. The company won every award for outstanding, innovative products, yet they swam in redink. MUEI bought the company out at 1 per share when the stock was trading above one.
Once the deal was announced, the stock dropped. Do you think the stockholders were happy?
