Xpedior 3Q revenues to be lower, 2 downgrades CHICAGO (Reuters) - Xpedior Inc. (XPDR.O), an Internet services company, said on Tuesday it expects third quarter revenue to fall about 10 percent from the $62.9 million reported for the second quarter because of a pullback in spending by dot-com companies.
Third-quarter revenue is now expected to be about 65 percent higher than the $34.5 million posted in the year-ago period, the company said.
``The company will continue to focus on generating EBITDA results as soon as possible,'' said president and chief executive David Campbell. EBITDA is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization. ``We remain optimistic that Xpedior will return in the fourth quarter to consistent sequential quarterly revenue growth.''
According to First Call/Thomson Financial, analysts had been expecting a loss of 2 cents a share for the third quarter and breakeven results for the fourth.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 2000--Xpedior Incorporated (NASDAQ:XPDR) announced today that it expects third quarter revenue to decline approximately 10% from the $62.9 million the company reported for the second quarter of 2000. Third quarter revenue is now expected to be approximately 65% greater than the $34.5 million in revenue recorded by Xpedior in the third quarter of 1999. "Although revenue this quarter will be lower than expected, we remain excited about the demand for ebusiness solutions providers and about Xpedior''s prospects for continued strong growth," David Campbell, President and CEO of Xpedior said. "Customers are committed to using the Internet for business. However, the pull back of spending by `dotcom'' businesses has also led to some delays in decision making among our Global 2000 clients. We are also seeing larger, complex projects that are more dependent on a clear return on investment model," said Campbell. "The company will continue to focus on generating EBITDA (1) positive results as soon as possible," he continued, "and we remain optimistic that Xpedior will return in the fourth quarter to consistent sequential quarterly revenue growth." stockhouse.com
