Three More Dems to Skip Convention
4:23 PM, JUL 12, 2012
BY MICHAEL WARREN

Three elected Democrats from Kentucky won't be in Charlotte this fall. The State Journal reports:

U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler will join a group of prominent Democrats who will not attend their party's national convention this year.

Other notable Kentucky Democrats not attending include U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth and Gov. Steve Beshear. Beshear has previously spoken out in opposition to the president's environmental policies.

Chandler, Yarmuth, and Beshear join a long list of Democrats skipping the national convention, including Missouri senator Claire McCaskill, West Virginia senator Joe Manchin, West Virginia governor Earl Ray Tomblin, and congressmen John Barrow of Georgia, Jim Matheson of Utah, and Mike McIntyre and Larry Kissell of North Carolina.
