That Al Franken could BEAT Norm Coleman, (R) incumbent, demonstrates just how damaged the (R) brand is. The (D)'s should run a Down's Syndrome candidate against one of the NE (R)'s, just to see if they can beat them with such a person.

Ventura of MN was on Larry King tonite. He was ranting about the notion that there is something wrong electing people like him or Franken into office as opposed to career politicians. I have been one of those people who has been critical but I suddenly got what he was saying. We should be electing people who are capable of leading, whether they're career politicians or not.
