PMFJI (interested SUNW observer looking for the correct entry point) - analysts are compensated to bring commission $$$ into the till for their firms, thus their frequent Buy/Sell flips. It is my understanding that at many times they are compensated based on the total commission activity within their firm in the particular stocks they follow. So of course we should view this with a jaundiced eye. If I were a ML client, in particular, I would feel pretty whipsawed by the stock action perhaps at least partially caused by the comments of its semi conductor analyst. The only words I might offer to all those who are feeling some pain at this time is that SUNW is a WORLD CLASS company (I wouldn't be looking at it otherwise) and multiple downgrades notwithstanding, this stock will amply reward people long term IMHO.
