The spinoff of the more interesting business from HPQ is called Agilent and happened a long time ago. A is also managed by a guy that runs the company with an excel spreadsheet, rather by innovation, imo. They are in way better shape than HPQ though. I don't think that HPQ really has anything worthwhile to spin off at this point, except maybe the calculator business <g>.
