So, are you claiming you eat out once a year and haven't been on a vacation in 8 years because you can't AFFORD it?

Yes, I am on a very tight budget. The last vacation I took was in 2000. I have been pretty much on my own since my father died when I was 11. That's when I started working at different jobs. When you don't have parents to fall back on, you develop a particular mindset when it comes to money. When the money is scarce, the budget gets very tight. That's how I learned to survive.

BTW I do go out with friends but I only have something to drink and I do go to the occasional movie. However, the last thing I want is to end up homeless. That's my biggest fear.
