Rumor (always unreliable) is of something beyond alliance. I did not press the source,but it might be a BUYOUT, or MERGER. This would reflate the price I hope. A few months to go for that. ---Navitrak. (NVTK/otc). Newswire www.cdn-news.com announces this gps map system handheld, is due to ship 3Q 96. Talked just now to the president (ex-banker: can we trust this man?:-) )who says it will cost about $1000 Cdn. for hw & sw for a laptop compatible GPS and map display. You supply the laptop (386+) and CD drive. Navitrak has 98% of Canada mapped at 1:50K scale. Bit-mapped data (not vectors) are on 30x compressed CD rom (650Megx30) which holds 400 000 square miles (not sure). Data encrypted. Database involves Legacy Storage "VAST" technology. Stock has traded since mid 95 in $2.20-3.20 range. Now at 2.75cdn. Shares issued: 3.8 million, with 2.3 million float. Closely held. I bt some at 2.75. Will dump it if it ever gets to 3.75. PR expected in local papers in 10 days, regarding "in-car map navigator for Canadians". I target this stock for $1 rise based on previous response to hype. There are NO rivals for this technology yet. GPS handhelds are dropping in price rapidly, GPS military restrictions are disappearing soon in USA.
