FP math: I think you are correct. I tried this with TurboC.
It uses 8-byte format for doubles and produces the same
"error". Interestingly, the result in the FPU (ten bytes)
is correct. But precision is lost when rounding to the
8 byte format to store in memory. Obviously, there has
to be a limitation to size of integers that the FPU can
deal with without loosing precision.

I would not have taken this so seriously if it had not
been transmitted world wide over news sources by
a (respectable??) brokerage house.

And Khris-Oh well, no free publicity this time!
