I think we're there now. Close enough to at least be setting a date for the cutover.

Would that it were true. I only have to wander through the south Bronx, Harlem, etc. or the South and West Sides in Chicago to see we have one helluva long way to go. I only have to spend a bit of time in a school room, almost any, save a few innovative schools, in those same areas to know we have a helluva long way to go. If you wish to have your heart broken, and you should never, read Jonathan Kozol's Savage Inequalities.
