Hi Reg,
My last post mentioned short interest.Shorting a stock is very often used as a hedging strategy but is also used to profit if a stock should fall in price. The speculator shorts a stock or sells it with the idea of buying it back at a lower price and making a profit.Sometimes a stock is shorted and options and or warrants are used to cover a position. My post was to make all the participants aware that if there is a short position in First Star or Tusk it is less than 50,000 shares. This is bullish because both FST and TKE are up over 100% this year and yet very few if any investors are betting that these stocks will drop.
For you to make a proper evaluation to invest in First Star or Tusk I would suggest you go to Tusk thread and review Grayhairs comments.Grayhairs level of knowledge is substantially above all participants and you should be able to make a decision by reading his posts.
Also if you still do not understand the concept of shorting stock perhaps your broker can explain it better than I have.

Hope this helps
Richard
