Don't be put off by the navy. Remember these are the guys who took 50 years to recognize the cure for scurvy, (they even mocked the Bitish navy for using limes which gave them vitamin C, hence the name "limeys"). They also took forever to recognize the advantage of taking airplanes to sea !
