RE: Zip Plus **OFF TOPIC**

Dale,

>> Syquest could always add the word "PLUS" and ask another $100 without giving any real improvement to the product. At least IOM thinks there going to get away with it. <<

And they're doing pretty good with it.

Don't forget that they introduced Zip at $199, gradually dropped it down to $99, then introduced Zip Plus at $199. It's very similar to what Intel does with chips

The biggest feature for me with the new Zip Plus is that it works with either Parallel or SCSI. SCSI is considerably faster. I had a SCSI Zip before, but couldn't use it at work where I didn't have SCSI. All of the software is great, too--expecially RecordIt!

When I bought my Zip Plus, I gave my Zip to a friend. Since then, he's bought a 10-pack of disks and the company he works for has bought a Zip Plus.

I sure wish that Iomega would "get away with" more things. To me, Zip Plus is a major success.

Oh, and did I mention the best part about Zip Plus? It's compatible with the industry-standard Zip disks that I already have. ;)
