BUt what;s really amazing is how much we have shared in each other's lives here, how much we know about each other, more than we know about most of the people next door to us. (Maybe more of mine because I write so much about the boys.) That's just- AMAZING!!! Yes, I have found that too.. I have come to know and form good friendships with several people that I have "met" here or elsewhere online... and it is true that I know most of them better than I know some of my neighbours. I often wonder if it is because there are more parallels in the way that we are thinking, or in our interests, and that we are drawn to the same "common ground". That isn't always true of how things are off-line...where the only common ground that we might share is the same street in the same neighbourhood. Well, it is an absolutely wonderful day here... the leaves are just emerging on the trees in the forests... everything is fresh and new.. Yesterday I discovered that we now have muskrat living in the little drainage creek right behind my barn.. they can be quite amusing to watch. There are Mallard ducks and bitterns there as well... and a pair of Northern Harrier hawks which are nesting back in the forest and hunting over the fields. A lot of deer this year too. Today, I'm doing a little moving around of birch, pine and pin cherry trees, so I'm outta here... (-:
