<Pat is to paddle his own canoe in the wilds of the FarNorth about now..... can't you see him in the water when the skinny bottom craft capsizes>

So as I told Fred, My 2nd son was paddling one of the canoes to the island to get my 1st son and I was securing the other canoe, having told my wife to keep the boat off the rocks.

My older 2 sons and I ended up in the water pushing the freaking boat off a pile of rocks and I sprang for $107 bucks (US) to repair the prop.

The trip went a bit downhill at that point. But I brightened up when I found the Canadian Dollar (the "Looney") had plummeted while I was gone. In effect, the boat rented for over $400 less than I thought, so I still saved $300 even trashing the propeller.

My best thought was the "Hurricane Deck" sign though....that was funny as hell.
