And your point is,

2) Between 1957 and 1973, (almost 16 years) no country has invented an Everlastingly ingenious, ...humble products that made life better".

Well, for you velcro and the barf bag maybe the greatest inventions. Indians may not have invented the paperclip but the impact that indian scientists have made to the world is far greater and needs no defense. For us 50 years of progress is what will fuel the next century.
