Can anyone tell me what the status of the Santa Fe deal is? Odds? I've heard that Homestake might be a takeover target itself if the deal doesn't go through. Seems that the debt and share dilution that would result with a takeover of Santa Fe would make Homestake unattractive to other companies.

Anyone have any thoughts? Homestake might be a really attractive buy if the deal isn't going to happen.
