As I understand it, the auction is a pure financial event. whoever bids the most wins without any regard to technology or anything else. according to press releases cdrd has already raised a lot of cash (line of credit) and i doubt that the two smaller bidders will be competetive. As for the service, it is just a guess but I can easily envisage all sorts of channels that could attract huge audiences. Financial, sports,talk, etc.
