i think that they are also near the bottom -- plus they have a U.S.-wide franchise for title one loans which from an origination and relationship perspective must be worth something to an acquirer. but the company is closely held, controlled by 5 or less people (owning over half the stock). i am glad to see that the company is audited by a firm that i have heard of (coopers and lybrand) so at least we should be able to put some faith in the numbers.

they must be able to turn around the loans that they service, and they have hired Litton to do this. If this can be done, the stock should be over $5 in my view -- in fact it seems too low right now.

i do not think any brokerage firms follow this company because it is too small.

interesting to watch this -- i have bought a few shares -- obvious risks here but worth a few dollars to dabble in and see what happens.
