Hey Mike - I think I dabbled with HotMetal back in college. I've also used FrontPage and PageMill, but I found myself going back to Homesite over and over. I guess I like having total control of the code, vs. WYSISYG editors. Plus, I never liked how many of them decided to throw in their own code (non-breaking spaces, natural size flags, etc.). As you mentioned, I think the backend database/e-commerce side is where the action will be. I've never personally coded in Cold Fusion, but I have glimpsed at it. People that work with it say it is straightforward and easy to learn. It's popularity seems to be growing. I just did a quick search on edgar, and found Allaire's S-1 here sec.gov. I doubt I'll get in on the IPO - but maybe E*Trade will offer something ala GeoCities. S.
