Corvis is a bit different from Juniper; its optical switch is not in competition with Cisco or Juniper (at least not directly), so it has neither the high profile of Juniper nor the hefty competitive problems. What surprised me was that Nexabit went for so little to Lucent. You gotta believe that the Nexabit stakeholders are kicking themselves for selling out to Lucent for $900 million on the same day that Juniper is establishing its market cap at 5 times that. Still a long way off for Corvis to go IPO, so we'll just have to wait and see. Doughboy.
