Hey Scott,
I'll bet you get asked about your name as often as I am asked if my middle name is Fenimore.

I am also thinking of returning my Quicken, but for different reasons.

Some securities that aren't hidden don't show up when "view hidden securities" not checked. This was a problem before, when you tried to hide securities, they still showed up. Now the problem is the opposite.

Can't download Schwab data. Tried a bunch of times, coneects, but times out.

Takes long time to load. Appears locked up. Sometimes it does lock up.

Downloading Quicken data to Investor Insight takes too long. I get a (Not responding) message alot.

No font selection in on screen reports. No column width adjustment. Piss poor heading selection. In essence, the same poor report and screen customization. So nice that I can select some en vogue background color scheme. Too bad I can't manipulate the data.

No lot management for investments. Can't tell profit and loss for individual lots. Something needed, especially for a company that touts themselves on tax preparation.

Support sucks. No 800 number. Long waits on hold. Wrong queues. Substandard techs. No email support. No avenue for suggestions. Help file says open intil 6pm Pacific, closed at 6pm mountain.

Cryptic menu structure. Made for idiots or people that love using their mouse constantly

Intellipoint mouse wheel doesn't work. Not that I love Microsoft, but everything these days should be compatible with the latest MS mouse, and version of MS Office. It's just common sense.

I like the ability of doing my transactions on the inet, but agree it should be customer choice. I don't know about bill paying, but I use Checkfree, and still have to make a separate call. It seems like Intuit is still in competition with Checkfree, making all the configurations and activities separate. I also noticed that Quicken bill paying is back up to $9.95 a month. Checkfree is still $5.95.

Quicken is starting to become a subscription program, where you are paying every year for continuation of services, rather than new features.

8 years ago, I would not let anyone copy my Quicken disks, even to try out, assuring them that the $35 cost would be the best software investment ever.

Now, buying Quicken upgrades is like paying taxes. It is something you have to do. You can't see any benefit derived from it. And if I wasn't making and spending money, I wouldn't have to worry about it.

I think Money 98 would be even more frustrating though, and I like Investor Insight, even though their performance has sucked lately.

As for ripping off customers, have you noticed that when you call for support, they want to make sure to get your name and address correct. This is because they do a lucrative business in providing these lists to vendors.

Good luck with your efforts. If you find a good name of someone to complain to, let me know.
