I sold my shares on Friday, took a small loss. I think we might retest the 12 area. Cable modems are here to stay, but I'd rather have my money in one of the big boys.

Motorola is the leading supplier of cable modems. Next week, it's hosting an industry meeting on selling modems at retail. Rivals entering the market include networking leaders Cisco Systems Inc. and 3Com Corp.

At these prices Motorola could be a better play. What do you think?
