"just my two cents" - that's all you've got left, right -g-
But seriously - I will look into this Ramble outfit - Mr B of the FBNAers has already got me watching crw quote.yahoo.com and I've played PCDocs and Corel and a bunch of the yanqui highflyer techs in the past, even had msft for a bit and made good money - all traded from my buddy's interpretation of charts, and before my personal introduction to these magic boxes two years ago - it's just this, imho;
Things don't go in a straight line forever - for a long long time now the relative value of the US dollar has been climbing, the conventional wisdom has become that US paper was the 'safe haven' of the planet - this has given to those who think in narrow USpaper$ terms the impression that commodities - and especially the central commodity, the one that stands for all, the one that reacts first and fastest, Gold - will keep on 'going down' because it has been 'going down' recently ... it's the 'trend is your friend' mentality ... well, friends can turn on you, amigo - remember Wang in the 70s ... I figured for years that the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce was my friend, and I its, but when somebody offered my fifty bucks this spring I sold it - friendship only goes so far, trends turn, fifty bucks was a lot of money and would buy serious amounts of gold and oil stocks at that point ..... and you know what - today at the close somebody was offering to me the same stock for 28.75 quote.yahoo.com ... maybe I'll look up that old friend soon .... hey, I'll buy lunch even, I can afford it with these gold profits -g-
Gold is real, it is the only true money, the only financial asset that is not some scrap of paper or some electronic entry denoting some pyramid scheme of debts and obligations. These people minefinders.com have a lot of gold, and are actively and competently engaged in finding more. They're listed on the OTC-BB as mneff, but the MMs aren't interested, the spread is insane. Better Toronto quote.yahoo.com
Now, gold could test its bottom again, for sure - and there is just huge leverage in gold stocks in general and juniors in particular, that would tank the juniors - but I think to completely ignore planetary currency turmoil and the value of gold as a safe haven at this point is to miss a good bet. Even if you just see it as insurance, which a lot do, it's a good thing to have - houses do burn down sometimes.
I will look at this Rambo, but you should take a peek at Minefinders too, you know ... Kinross as well - KGC on the NYSE - never mind that it went up today, it's still cheep cheep cheep .... imho ..... salud .... marcos |
