This is only $9.us, why are California's so much more than imports for similar quality. Excellent point - I have no idea! We can actually get Bordeaux and other french wines cheaper than California wines in N. California. Sometimes you can get an inexpensive gem at the local safeway... a few years ago they unloaded some 85 Sebastiani cabs for $8. each, I cant remember the label exactly... but for this wine 85 was a GREAT year - so you can get deals like that but in general no. Im trying to learn more about french wines though as Im looking for something a little lighter these days. Michelle
