I know the experimental design and length of trials impressed my doctor. I don't know enough about medicine and this field to know specifics.

I am not sure how impressed he was with training. I know he had already scrubbed in with a doctor in Baltmore at St. Joseph's hospital who has been involved with the trials, so the training was nothing really new. Plus, to be honest, the orthopedic surgeon and nureosurgeon I have been seeing think the procedure is a piece of cake and they could probably train their med students how to do it in a day. Let's just say that they both have extremely large egos and this surgery is considered simple stuff by them (compared to brain surgery, and more complex procedures, it probably is).
