Kent,

Yes as we are "big boat" people on this Thread and share! I've been systematically reading SEC documentation on many ECM's and I intend put it into the article for Joe D., if he'd like to publish it- if not I'll post it here.

I've been trying to figure out who else is big both in surface mount technology potentially for DD makers and flip chip assembly. So far I've run through most of the big independent ECM's and do not see a lot of competition on the SMT side except potentially one company in SMT (who currently only does SMT for printed circuit boards) and two companies in flip chip-i.e.pretty minimal market presence so far. However I need to review the OEM's of the world too, IBM's TDK's before I'd draw any conclusions.

Thanks WM Sharp for calling Mr. Hohener! I do not believe that many of us expect a "bang-up" quarter next quarter- but the quarter's numbers will be better simply because the capital expansion program is now complete, and that drag on the earnings will disappear.

I'm looking for proof of an upswing in orders in the final quarter of 1997. But I've established my position now since share price rises often precede release of good news for some strange reason....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
