To all,

Now that our thread has achieved the benchmark of 50,000 posts, I want to thank everyone for participating. I believe our community has introduced stocks to consider that otherwise might not have appeared on our radar screen. I know that's true for me. I also believe the presentation and discussion of those stocks has helped each of us formulate an opinion about whether or not they have earned a position in our portfolios. To top all of that off, many of us have made life-long friendships here. Nothing is as valuable as that.

A particularly personal "thank you" goes to all the technologists who have taken the time over and over again during the years to hold the hands of the non-technologists (me!) to help us grasp the essentials of competitive advantage in the world of high technology.

We are a community bound by the proposition that the study of Gorilla Gaming is a worthwhile endeavor. Studying it reveals why we might or might not want to incorporate the thesis explained in the first two books in our investment process. Regardless of the conclusion each of us reaches about that, we're fortunate that our platform is one of the most congenial threads in cyberspace. I believe that's so because of the premise about courtesy that Frank and Lindy so strongly promoted when they began this thread. Like-minded people were attracted by their notion that the only off-topic post is a rude post. 50,000 posts and just shy of three years later, we continue to be attracted. Though there are the rare exceptions who prefer to be rude occasionally, we learn from them also, sometimes because of the substance of their posts and sometimes because we're reminded how not to behave in public. I believe the rude posts stand out not just because they are rude, but because they are the exception.

I look forward to the next 50,000 posts. Now that I've used your bandwidth to explain what our thread means to me, I hope the next 50 or so posts will be about what our community means to you.
