The only thing missing from the business model is a customer. If LD has any flair for drama, then I should expect to see something unveiled at the upcoming Comdex show. i.e. Some OEM's product featuring a VLNC battery. Even if it's only a prototype they need to start showing something off. If they are targeting full production by mid year 1999, then I would expect SOMEONE plans to use this battery. And this someone ought to have a product designed to use the battery by now. So an unveiling at the Comdex would add some credibility that their production schedule is on target. To further speculate, LV's "no comment" regarding OEM testing may be intended to not let the "cat out of the bag" before the trade show. Right now uncertainty is slowly being squeezed out of this company as the price continues to firm up.
