I bought BAY mainly because of House and cruiser and lexrst and ... I do believe that networking hardware is where computers were 10-15 years ago. I believe House keeps his word as evidenced with his May 7th 1997 speech outlining goals for BAY. They are all met (except RSP). I see more of the same.
I'll take 45 this time next year based on EPS, P/E etc. IMO to see 45 in 4-6 months is either buyout or new product blowout. Buyout is very real with the consortium that Lucent is slowly gathering together; or competing offers from Ericcson or Intel. Buyouts are dreams and aren't fundemental to my investment decisions. Product blowout has less of a chance. RSP is the only revolutionary product not announced but with my very limited networking knowledge I can't see a place for it other than selling to Telco's and large ISP's. Selling to them takes years of evaluation, KA,etc.
My first concern is that revenues will be flat though growth in ports will climb 30%. My second concern is csco . They could use the 8500(vaporware) as a loss leader as they have done with RA. Third concern is external market exuberance and euphoria.
Just me and my meager portfolio sounding off and trying to be patient.

regards
mr.P
