This type of stockholder massaging is usually channeled through the companies analysts, who usually don't give updated reports on companies more than a per-quarter basis. Sure you'll see reactions from big tech stocks like DELL, MSFT, INTC, etc., because the media demands and reports that information, not so ISSI, as the following is too small. Visibility of course is why these companies trade at higher relative values. Also remember commenting publically re: competitive factors exposes companies to lawsuits if they say "brand x product is irrelevant and won't affect sales" and thereafter it does affect sales. Unfortunately, silence is golden w/publically traded companies, unless you're not going to meet your number, then you usually have to say something...
