<<You generalize to manage the large amount to data. To argue that isn't smart is just some idealism.>>

Two points:

first - generalizing is one thing, overgeneralizing is another. Many, perhaps most, Republicans are not fundamentalist or overtly religious. Many are pro-choice. Many people that are against Clinton are neither Republican nor fundamentalist. IMHO, you are overgeneralizing.

second - As regards fundamentalists, the majority of the ones I have dealt with are not what you portray them to be. If you are unwilling to process that data and perhaps pursue if further and see if you might be mistaken, you are not only overgeneralizing, but possibly misrepresenting.

Both sides have mixed religion with politics. On the Democrat side, many Christian organizations support the liberal viewpoint with regards to human rights and other issues, including issues of morality. Look at the people supporting Clinton right now, and you will find that many are representatives of fundamentalist Christian movements. Certain religious leaders vocally object to Clinton, but many others support him. You really can't generalize on this - the opinions are too diverse.

That's the same problem I have with the polls. 500 people cannot even begin to represent the diversity of opinion on the subject of the Clinton chronicles.
