Re. the mandatory nature of the end of life counseling. I believe you. It probably isn't made mandatory by the bill. That would be too naked a move. I do believe its going to be encouraged (there are going to be protocols established for doctors and they'll be told to encourage their patients to schedule these type of sessions) and its purpose is to save money by encouraging people to agree to limit future treatments.

So no, they won't MAKE people have end of life counseling sessions or MAKE them sign something signing away treatment options in advance. It will be voluntary. However the protocols I referred to guiding doctors will be drawn up by a committee of liberal "bio-ethicists" and will reflect their viewpoints.

Do you think thats pretty accurate?
