"stockholder massaging"...It's as if the stockholders are this pesky -problem-. They are the REASON the company exists! The reason the company exists is to make a return to the stockholders, NOT to make the greatest SRAM in the world, or some other engineer's idea. Nucor starting out in the "nuclear" business, now it makes steel. It's not the product per se, it's what makes money.

Unfortunately, in this day and age, lawsuits come with the territory with public companies. Now you see all the "forward-looking" statements, no matter WHAT is announced. I worked in CUSA Marketing for Chevron for six years, and I could write a posting a day about strange lawsuits.

Specifically to ISSI, it was the interview in Investor's Business Daily that first brought this stock to my attention, when it was in the high sixties (and subsequently went to 72 or so). There was nothing but a rosy scenario in that interview, and I thank my dumb luck from time to time that I did not buy ISSI on the bounce on a number of occasions in the 50s, 40s, 30s, 20s when it seemed to reverse. I am certain they fielded numerous lawsuits from that interview. And what about the writedown of inventory?? I would speculate that they got many lawsuits when they announced that, because there was no warning prior!! I hate it, but in today's legal environment, you cannot avoid some truly time-wasting, expensive "shit".

One last thing, maybe ISSI doesn't have to get a note to the public, but how about just the stockholders..or an update page on their website??
