JC;

Important point to note: "a couple years ago"

What I seen is a company that uses it's own products in it's production environment, such as SQL Server, Win 2000 and Exchange while they are in beta in order to gain valuable test feedback about how the product functions in an enterprise environment. This is part of the process that we go through in order to ship more reliable products to our customers. This process also allows us to experience first hand the issues that might be encountered in an enterprise-wide rollout, and allows us to share best practices in this regard with our customers as the product is released.

I honestly don't see the evil underside to this practice that you seem to see...did I miss something?

Regards;
Jordan
