I never said I believed the story. That's an assumption on your part, and I think you know how bad it is to assume anything. The facts, if true, are intriguing. I am sure that Ken Starr has pursued it. If not he should. Based on facts that I have seen reported, many not in the mainstream press, I happen to believe that Starr has a much larger case against the major players than any of us know at this time than just the recent Tailgate incident. Perhaps when his final report is issued we'll find out if he did pursue Gary's story.
Notice the reduced sentence today for one of the first people involved with whitewater to be convicted (Yes a lot of people find it convenient to forget or ignore that there have been several convictions in whitewater, but there have been). It sends a message to others out there who might be willing to come forward that they will be treated fairly if they tell the truth, even if they have committed crimes. I think even Slick would be treated fairly if he just told the truth. I don't think he's going to though. He knows what jail is like, and Hillary and he like power to much to have it taken away without a huge fight, which is what we're witnessing right now. Hopefully, despite all the delaying tactics, denials and dirty pool, the facts and truth will come out. |
