Smart: Re: The main reason is the delay of Window98, partly due to the Justice Department's interference of Microsoft business. I'm wondering about the impact of Windows 98, too. There are two engineers in my office (non-Intel) preparing to buy new PCs, and both are waiting until the release of '98. The recent media coverage of Gates has educated the masses that a new Windows release is coming, so some may delay purchasing. When consumers make a major purchase, many experience the inevitable "buyer's remorse", and the thought of having to update the O/S might just add to their depression. Adam
