You continue to assert or seem to think that somehow I am pro Saddam which is far from the truth.

As I have said before:

1) I don't like Saddam and will be glad to see him gone gone.

2) I don't trust Bush. He is a liar. Neither did I trust Clinton who is also a liar. Having said that I would go along with W. Churchill "Domocracy is a bad system, but it's all we have."

3) I do not buy the claim this war is about getting rid of Saddam because he is a bad guy. I think it's about replacing him with a more pliant government so we will have more stable access to oil. We love brutal dictators as long as they are our brutal dictators.

4) I think that the fact that our national security depends on foreign oil may be an argument that could possibly justify this war, but that is a different argument which begets the argument that conservation would be a better solution.

5) Unlike most rightists I am not blind to the fact that we have supported or even pushed into power through coups many dictators just as evil as Saddam. For some reason Rightists seem to think that our brutal dictators are less evil than the ones we don't like. I'd like to see us get rid of them all.

6) Unlike most rightists I perceived a flaw in our initial support of the Afghan resistance.

I can assure you that ever time someone here makes the silly argument that I am somehow pro Saddam, I will refute it, and that will become boring.
