I had a long talk with Kerry in July 2002, very early on when the fundraiser was so tiny I could get him one on one. I also had dinner with his chief fundraiser and got him talking frankly after a few martinis. I have followed Kerry's career ever since 1970's in Massachusetts. I also met him in the 80's when he was prosecuting Iran-Contra and I was working with the DEA. The man is totally honest, amazingly intelligent and knowledgeable, totally impressive, very-very courageous and will never let us down. He is neither too liberal, nor an egotist, and he would make perhaps the greatest diplomatic president we've ever had. I believe he could end the war on terror without having to invade a single country or commit any great number of soldiers anywhere in the world. He could also bring back the Clinton economy which was the best ever and unite most of us as a nation by teaming up with McCain. Another thing he will do is go after the oil industry and regulate the bastards. With Kerry in charge, 15 years from now we could be totally off Arab oil and have peace in Israel much sooner, God willing. Those are better reasons to put him in office than anything Bushies can muster up.
