Titan makes a DASH! for kids

Titan has entered yet another niche segment in the watch market, this time for kids. It has launched Dash! created exclusively for children in the 6-14 year range.

A result of a 9-month long research exercise, Dash! is available in a range of colours and 28 designs. It is priced between Rs 250 and Rs 395. Watches for boys will have a sporty look and gizmos while those for girls will have pretty patterns. Dash! uses a quartz movement in an all-plastic body, is water-resistant up to 30 metres and comes with a one-year guarantee.

Bhaskar Bhat, senior VP, sales and marketing, Titan Industries Ltd, commented: 'The market for children's watches here is virtually untapped. We want to be an innovator and define standards in this segment.'
