Edwin, SYQT is an interesting stock. Today's Syquest has many of the characteristics I like in a speculative play: competitive product line, new and exciting flagship product, rapidly growing market segment, low stock price, new managament, new marketing, established brand name, low institutional ownership, few analysts covering, etc, etc. I can certainly understand why so many are attracted to this play. Unfortunately, it appears that because of the above, some would overlook just how devastating the shares dilution is, Syquest's financial situation is, and just how difficult it will be to turn a net profit in this environment. I agree with you that SYQT is definately an "underdog" stock and it seems everyone likes an underdog. Heck, it's the American Way. Well almost... as long as it doesn't cost me money. Regards - Dale |
