China backed North Korea against South Korea, USA etc and might live to regret that. The USA backed Osama and Islamic Jihad against Gorby which was stupid and Osama thanked them with destruction of the Twin Towers. One must be careful of the Arrow of Time and teleological processes which rule the cosmos. The four forces of the apocalypse are not to be trifled with. Seemingly simple casual decisions taken now to adopt a course of action can lead to a disastrous situation years or decades later. Russia apparently warned Iran that Israel was about to destroy their aircraft. Russia prefers Iran with nuclear bombs than Israel. If I was Russian, I'd be backing Israel against Islamic Jihad. Israel won't be harming Russians but Islamic Jihad has already murdered children en masse in Beslan and caused carnage in Russia. Islamic Jihad with nukes could make serious adjustments in Moscow.
