Mary Ann:

Re your "assuming that the increase is $2.00, what kind of price per share do you see going forward?"

The immediate reaction of the street after intc beat both the 2nd and 3rd qtr results was a collective yawn. But in the interim the stock has soared, so some deep pockets believe intel is going to continue to generate impressive results.

I've heard some individuals on this thread postulate that when a stocks pe over it's eps growth rate, is = to or < than 1.0, the stock is not overvalued. Only when the ratio exceeds 1.0 is the stock "overvalued". (All of this assumes the growth rate will continue of course).

Intc would earn 5.68 in 1996 if it achieves 2.00 in qtr4. If this happens intc will post a 40% growth rate over 1995's 4.04/share eps. 40*5.68 = $227/share. Imho, while I don't think the eps or the stock will perform that well, 200/share is possible.

Best Regards
