Unquestionably. Ariel Sharon epitomizes this syndrome where the victim assumes the worst aspects of his persecutor in an endless cycle of victimization. The Palestinians have been made the victims of Sharon and his ilk through no fault of their own. He's simply a grasping, imperialist thug who is utilizing some of the most despicable aspects of the persecution that befell the Jews in Germany and imposing the same cruelty on the Palestinians.
