Though I read Elder's book, I have yet to settle down to a system or particular method. I think that in order to become consistently successful, one has to at the very least learn the discipline of following a set of rules for entering and exiting trades. I had my single biggest success after reading LeFevre's book. Then I switched to a few different software trading programs that I wasn't able to make good use of. My best success was following Livermore's advice (in Reminiscences book) and picking stocks that were in the upper 95 to 99 percentile, according to ranking by IBD. John
