I wonder if today's explosion in AOL price is related to rumors that GTE is going to make a bid for MCI. I know this is a stretch, but if GTE wants to buy MCI, this puts pressure on WorldCom, and it was the AOL deal with WorldCom that got this recent surge in AOL started. I know there has to be another piece to connect this all together, but where, I can't figure out at the moment.

You know, when the market works against you, as it is doing for the AOL bears, you sometimes have to ask yourself what it is the market knows that you don't. AOL was insanely valued when it was at 44, so it is twice as insanely valued at 88. So what is going on? Will AOL collapse soon, like Zitel and Iomega did? I can't shake the feeling that AOL will have to hit 100 before that happens.
