Interesting article on LIM buyout in Northern Miner. Temporary peak ni prices seen as making opportunity to be bought out attractive, by management, which is in on the deal. The importance of the 19% lock up shares held by hedge fund, 17% management 2% also mentioned. Most interesting was the strategic fit aspect for Xstrata. I can think of another company that fits even better. Indeed the company also pushes the return to much lower ni prices, which should help keep the premium from for a buy out from getting too high. <g> Article on line for subscribers.
