Re: The drive for more housing for everyone has left one hell of a long hangover.

Yes, Yes, Yes...... I NEVER have figured out why Clinton and Bush allowed that to happen....BUT at least there are MANY youtube's/videos of GWB trying in vain to stop or slow the Dems down on this in his last two years, and I believe even in the years before then.

How ANYONE thought that it made sense to have people making little to Zero money to speak of get a loan for a house, and then to pay it back is just beyond reason......Some people probably never intended to pay it back, and others couldn't because of earlier choices they had made.....either no education for a better paying job, or for whatever reason, just couldn't, or didn't pay the mortgage.

All it would have taken is some good common sense....Look at the high rise buildings the US taxpayers have paid for over the years for low income people...... How many of these are still standing? Has anyone asked themselves WHY the buildings were torn down? Has it ever occurred to anyone to see who was living in those buildings, and what happened to each individual apartment.....what condition was it left in when the tennant left? Did anyone make these people responsible to pay for the damage? Was there a list of who lived there, and what it looked like when they left? Were any of the people who damaged the high rises (they received for free, or almost free) the same people who later got mortages on property they couldn't afford?

Common sense questions......

At what point are our House and Senate members actually liable for the absolute idiotic decisions they make ?????
